Cold Room Installation

Project snapshot

  • Location: Palmerston Golf Club
  • Range: $50,000 - $100,000

About The Project

Palmerston Golf & Country Club awarded Habitat NT with the head contracting role for the renovations to their club house. Our team were subcontracted by Habitat NT to install the new cold room for the bar area, which included a glass door display.

Our Solution

The first stage of this project saw our team demolish and remove the existing cold room from site and prepare the area for the installation of the new room. Our team then installed a brand new, custom designed cold room with a pallet access ramp. This room also included a 9 heated glass door display with associated lighting and shelving. This room has provided the perfect backdrop to the new bar and is both stylish and functional.

As with every project completed by DRS, this project was completed on time and on budget, with no hidden extras payable.

Since starting at Palmerston Golf and Country Club, Jed and his team have installed a new larger cold room, which is nothing short of fabulous. They also came up with the concept and design of our temperature controlled holding storeroom. With the help of DRS, we have been able to save money on our electricity bills, as well as improve the quality of the stock and reduce the amount spoilage due to the normal process currently used in most venues with high fluctuating temperatures.

DRS are always on hand to fix any problems that may occur 7 days a week and are always happy to return my phone calls and answer any questions and give sound advice.

I have recommended Jed and his team from DRS to other companies and they have all had a great repour with them. I will continue to engage and recommend DRS for all of my work.

James Harrison, Australia, and the World's First Patented Refrigerator

Before Scottish expatriate James Harrison, then member of the Victoria Legislative Council and owner of the Geelong Advertiser newspaper, making ice was difficult. In fact, no one had invented a mechanical method to produce ice or to refrigerate items. Whenever you use your ice machine to create a delectable cocktail for guests, or crack open a cool one on a scorching day, remember James Harrison. It is because of his ingenuity that you are able to enjoy beverages like this.
