Heavy Vehicle Inspection Facility

About The Project

This project involved the supply and installation of all air conditioning and ventilation equipment for the Heavy Vehicle Inspection Facility.

Office Air Conditioning

• A 62kW ActronAir tri-capacity packaged air-conditioner was supplied and installed together with 60 metres of internally insulated ductwork for the air conditioning system.
• 2 Mitsubishi Heavy Industry split system air-conditioners were supplied and installed (3.5kW and 5.0kW) to supply cooling to the server room and lunch rooms.
• Supplied and installed 1 Mitsubishi Heavy Industry cassette air-conditioner 5.0kw for the conference room.

Ventilation System

• 2 air compressor systems were required including pipework, filters, dryers, and regulators.
• 2 roof mounted exhaust fans for the pit exhaust system were supplied installed to allow for adequate ventilation within the inspection pits.
• 60 metres of ductwork was installed for access to the pit exhaust system, 4 exhaust systems were also installed in the toilets on the premises.
• DRS were responsible for the supply and installation of all associated electrical and controls along with air balancing and commissioning. We obtained all mechanical engineering certifications (section 40 & drawings) for all completed works.

Things that DRS achieved to make the client's project a success:

We co-ordinated all trades and initiated pre-emptive identification of possible issues. We had 100% compliance with client timelines and 100% compliance with specifications. We provided weekly progress reports with completion percentages and photo evidence all while providing zero defects on project completion.
