About The Project

It was a privilege to provide Gwelo Constructions with a custom designed cold room and freezer room for the kitchen at Seoul Food restaurant, Elan Soho Suites. With a difficult space to work in, our team provided expert advice on the design of these rooms, which allowed our client to maximise the space available in these rooms.

Our Solution

The cold room was constructed with 100mm EPS insulated sandwich panel with prefinished steel skin for all wall and ceiling panels.The floor consisted of 75mm insulation with a 75mm topping slab and epoxy food grade sealer top coat. Underfloor heating was also installed into the floor to minimise condensation issues.

The supply and installation of Mantova zinc laquered post style shelving completed these rooms and allowed for maximum storage capacity.

For safety, all of our cold rooms and freezer rooms are fitted with manual alarm bells that can be used in an emergency. We also fit all doors with manual release pins to allow the door to be opened from the inside if the door has been locked externally.
