About The Project

With the demolition and eventual reconstruction of the Paspaley building in Darwin Mall, long term Cafe 21 owners Brian and Jan, where required to relocate their popular cafe to another location within Smith Street Mall. Having worked with them for many years, our team were able to provide design advice and recommendations to ensure that the refrigeration equipment in their new premises was suitable for their needs.

Our Solution

The DRS team supplied and installed a brand new custom designed cold room in the kitchen of the new cafe 21, located at Cashman House. This cold room consisted of 100mm panel for all walls and the ceiling and was finished with an A1 concrete floor. Our team also installed the refrigeration system for their new display cabinets, located in the front of the cafe.

All condensing units were professionally mounted on the roof at the rear of the property, to maximise space but still provide easy access if repairs are ever required.
